초록내용

디지털 치의학에 관련된 기계류와 프로그램의 개발 및 발달을 통해 가상환자를 이용한 진단과 모의시술 및 모의 시술을 현실화시키는데 필요한 다양한 장치를 제작할 수 있게 되었습니다. 이런 혁신이 이루어질 수 있는 배경에는 “단지 보는 기능만이 가능했던 CT에 디지털화된 모델 파일(STL)을 병합하여 모의시술의 결과를 CAD/CAM system에 곧바로 적용한다.”는 기술적 발상이 있었습니다. 그 결과 임플란트 가이드로 대표되는 여러 종류의 가이드 수술이 가능해지게 되었습니다. 요즘은 이보다 더 진보하여 안면스캔너를 통해 획득된 3차원 안면정보와 CT의 병합을 통해 명실상부한 “디지털 가상환자(Dental Avatar)”를 임상에서 활용할 수 있는 시대에 접어 들었습니다. 골과 연조직의 정보에 환자의 감성까지를 더한 디지털 가상환자를 구성하고, 모의 시술을 시행할 수 있는 소프트웨어의 활용은 우리 임상가들에게 과거 아날로그 시대에 비교하여 보다 직관적이며 객관적인 정보를 제공합니다. 특히 진단과 치료계획의 수립단계에서 그 진가를 발휘합니다. 더불어 임상가의 상상력에 비례하여 치료에 필요한 다양한 장치와 보철물을 설계하고 제작하여, 진단에서 최종보철물까지를 한가지 선상에서 즐길 수 디지털치의학이 가능하다 하겠습니다. 이에 본 발표에서는 현대 디지털치의학의 트렌드를 공유하고, 치과의사가 어떻게 디지털 치의학을 활용하는 것이 적절할 것인가에 대한 고찰의 시간을 함께 가져보고자 합니다.

With the advance and development of mechanics and programs, it is now possible to build a virtual patient in order to diagnose, mock trials, and build devices that allow the mock trials to be possible in real life. This innovation was able to be established due to the technical idea of being able to merge CT, once thought to be used only for visualization, with digitalized model file (STL) and use the mock trial results on the CAD/CAM system right away. As a result, now it is possible to do diverse representative guide surgeries using the implant guide. Nowadays it has become more advanced to the point where 3D facial data obtained by the facial scanner is merged with CT to create a “Dental Avatar” for clinical use. The ability to create a Digital Dental Avatar with the patient’s information of the bone, soft tissue and emotion/characteristic, and using a software program to mock trial, provides us - clinicians with more objective and intuitive information than what were provided in the analogue era. Additionally, in proportion to the clinician’s imagination, diverse devices and prosthesis can be designed, to allow the process from diagnosis up to the delivery of the final prosthesis to occur in one continuous flow using Digital Dentistry. Therefore, in this presentation, we will share the modern trends of Digital Dentistry, and discuss how as Dentists, we can utilize it appropriately.
